Position Summary:

The Court Services Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts provides assistance and oversight of the courts in the state of Arizona. This position provides assistance to the courts by processing grant requests and managing them through their full lifecycle for multiple funding sources.

This position serves as the main contact for all of Arizona’s courts regarding multiple grant funds. This position has a high degree of interaction with court staff through email and phone. Grant requests are evaluated in accordance with their applicable statutes and/or code sections, and the grant specialist prepares recommendations based on this review. This position follows grants through their entire process, monitors compliance with grant policies, and tracks monies approved and expended. This position is also responsible for maintaining auditable records regarding each grant and preparing draft reports for other state agencies. Additionally, this position provides limited support for language-access-related initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of related experience or the equivalent. This position requires excellent knowledge of Word and Excel, including the ability to import and export data, excellent organizational skills, a high degree of integrity and strong written and oral communication skills. In addition, this position requires the ability to plan, schedule, and control the flow of work, as well as work with minimal supervision and instructions. This position requires the ability to understand the effect of statutes on the grant process.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Arizona court system and knowledge of financial reconciliation processes.

Travel level: Negligible

Selection Process:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Only applicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to interview. The Selection Process may include computer testing (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook, proofreading, typing, etc.) and first and/or second-round panel interviews. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt position.
