Job Summary

Are you a creative powerhouse with a passion for design, UX/UI principles, and bringing ideas to life on the web? Cross Street is looking for an innovative Web and Graphic Designer to join our team and make an impact!

In this role, you’ll take the reins in designing and building stunning, user-friendly websites for our clients’ apartment properties using platforms like Wix and RentCafe. You’ll also use Figma to craft new pages and design elements for the Cross Street website, collaborating with developers to bring your visions to life in WordPress. Beyond creating custom websites, you will also get the chance to flex your artistic muscles by assisting the marketing team in creating other digital deliverables such as emails and presentations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and build websites for our clients’ apartment buildings using WIX and RentCafe.
  • This includes creating digital elements, such as point-of-interest maps and contact forms using third-party platforms and implementing other third-party iframes.
  • You may be required to perform some light coding using HTML and CSS when certain customizations are necessary.
  • Use Figma to design new pages and elements for the Cross Street website.
  • Use Adobe software and Canva to design creative assets for digital and print applications.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in all deliverables.
  • Organize and maintain a library of digital assets, including photos and other design elements, ensuring they are easily accessible for the marketing team and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality. Communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations to the Marketing Director and team members as necessary.

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • 2+ years of website design experience.
  • A degree in Web Design, Interactive Design, Graphic Design or related field preferred.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in web and layout design.
  • Experience using a website builder, such as Wix, SquareSpace, Shopify, or Webflow.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong knowledge of UX/UI principles, design principles, color theory, typography, and layout design.
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
