First Supply offers an exciting r otational trainee program designed for recent college graduates interested in pursuing a career in the field of distribution operations, customer service and sales. During the program you will gain knowledge and training in 3 key areas of First Supply. Our 9-month program includes time in Warehouse Logistics, Kitchen, Bath & Lighting, and Customer Service/Inside Sales. In each training area you will be challenged to learn the key techniques and principles and identify ways to better support the business and our processes. You will use these experiences to develop a proposed change or process improvement as part of a capstone project that you will present upon graduation.

The goal of the program is to prepare you for a career in any of our 28 locations. The emphasis of the program is to track to an anticipated opportunity in Inside Sales. Inside Sales is a foundation position that will grow your knowledge of our products, customers, and overall business to prepare you for future career opportunities throughout the company including Outside Sales, Management, and other support functions throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations - 3 months

You will learn various roles within the warehouse including receiving, order filling, returns, express counter and delivery. Overall, you will be responsible for pulling inventory from stock to package and ship for customer delivery in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Customer Service & Sales - 5 months

You will learn to assess customer needs, write, and enter sales orders, respond to customer inquiries and solve customer problems. In addition, you will learn how to determine inventory availability and upsell the customer by recommending add on items based on customer needs.

Kitchen, Bath & Lighting - 1 months

You will work with the design team to assist customers in a customer-centric fashion, enter sales orders, inventory, signage, maintaining accurate and organized customer files and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or similar degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and leadership ability.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets underwriting standards.
