Job Description
Basic Purpose
The Assistant Student Registrar is responsible for managing all aspects of student registrations for disciplines governed by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering, and Advisory Board on Massage Therapy. This includes overseeing registration procedures, maintaining accurate student records, processing applications, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulations. The role serves the Lead Student Registrar as a critical liaison between students, educational institutions, and the Board.

This is a career-level position with responsibilities ranging from routine to complex administrative duties.
Education and Experience
Education and experience requirements include four years of technical clerical office work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in educational administration, licensing, or student services is preferred.

- Processes and reviews student registration applications for compliance with state requirements.
- Prepares invoices and reconciles payments related to registration activities.
- Coordinates registration-related activities with schools, students, and agency staff across all disciplines.
- Utilizes data processing systems to input and retrieve student information and resolve errors in records.
- Assists Lead Student Registrar with registrations for all disciplines of cosmetology, barbering, and massage therapy.
