Shop/Mechanic Coordinator

We are looking to expand our team and company by adding a Shop/Mechanic Coordinator.

Position

Shop/Mechanic Coordinator

Field phone calls from equipment operators and truck drivers, trouble shoot mechanical issues and then dispatch Mechanics timely to keep employees working and the job running at top production and efficiency standards. Schedule service and maintenance on over 100 pieces of heavy equipment, trucks, pickups and accessories/attachments.

• Schedule daily work for in-house and field mechanics, along with outsourced service providers.
• Dispatch field mechanics to repair equipment timely to allow jobs to run efficiently.
• Produce work orders to keep In-house mechanics working on services and maintenance.
• Shop around and order parts to maintain flow of service department
• Update and maintain maintenance and repair records
• Evaluate flow across the entire shop
• Review and approve repair cost estimates
• Identify opportunities to improve shop systems and work to implement those improvements
• Track and act on trends that may impact shop forecasts or maintenance strategies
  
  

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years’ experience with equipment and/or vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Practical written and verbal communication skills
  
  

The right candidate should be able to work well in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills. They should be organized, self-motivated, a fast learner, and able to multitask and meet deadlines. They should also have a comprehension of mechanical systems and processes.
