Lead Micron R&D funding and engagement with NSTC, Natcast, and NAPMP securing long-term, high-value R&D project agreements for Micron long-term strategic goals

Lead and work closely with the TPG and Micron leadership to align and synchronize Micron R&D opportunities with CHIPS R&D programs.

Collaborate with technology, legal, government affairs, and finance teams to ensure strategic soundness and operational feasibility of Micron CHIPS R&D programs

Act as a key liaison between NSTC, Natcast, NAPMP, and Micron internal teams

Monitor potential legislative changes, track legislations, Notice of Funding Opportunities and deadlines

Report regularly to TPG management on the status of Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) responses for CHIPs R&D Programs.

Drive and maintain internal alignment between TPG and Micron Manufacturing for CHIPS for America Programs

Shape and implement strategies for achieving goals with relevant government agencies

Recommend company positioning, priorities, internal and external strategy, and tactics as related to legislation, regulation, and policy.

Develop statement of work, manage NOFO / RFI responses coordinating with internal R&D teams, TPG leadership, and government affairs teams

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field 10+ years of experience in strategic business development, corporate development, or related roles, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech industries
  • Preferred MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or related field or equivalent experience
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of memory technologies (DRAM, NAND, Advanced Packaging, Process, emerging memory, etc.)
  • Experience with developing business strategies and coordination with internal technical teams, legal ,government affairs teams, and business unit teams.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
  • Highly effective, strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to drive the cross functional team across Engineering, Technology Development, Legal, and Business Units to recommend strategy and execution plans with C-level executives.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and managing large-scale, complex agreements
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with dynamic demands
  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem and related technologies
  • Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Preferred Requirements
  • Being comfortable to pivot (change of plans) at a moment’s notice.
  • High level of technical understanding of the memory products, process technologies and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Strong program management skills with ability to establish KPIs and on-demand reporting
  • Experience completing RFPs and RFQs for various spend categories.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$188,500.00 - $375,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
