Job Description
Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular, and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.
The Orthopedics Department is trained to handle the most common of injuries, from sprains, broken bones and sports injuries, to specialized conditions such as arthritis and congenital disorders. Our multi-disciplinary team includes fellowship-trained orthopedic physicians, rheumatologists, physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers that specialize in treating a wide range of injuries in children and adults.
As the Supervisor of Clinic Operations, you will provide essential oversight to ensure that Straub patients receive the highest quality care at our Orthopedics department. In this role, you will supervise and administer the day-to-day operations, including the oversight of patient care activity. You will be guided by the process of integrating organizational and clinic service philosophy and objectives. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Three (3) years progressive clinic operations experience.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including a flexible approach, good planning, organizational skills, and follow-through.
- Customer service oriented with the ability and desire to promote good interpersonal relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Hawaii Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Healthcare management experience.
- Budget financial experience.
- Knowledge of International Classification of Diseases 10th edition (ICD-10) and current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding.
- IDX system application knowledge.
