Web Developer II teammates work under the supervision of senior developers or team leads and are responsible for assisting in the creation and maintenance of websites and other applications.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Contribute to the planning and development of websites and other applications by writing clean, well-designed, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with designers to implement and enhance user interfaces, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing user experience across different devices and browsers.
- Identify, plan, design, and implement back-end development tasks, such as database design and implementation, server-side scripting, and API integration.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in websites or web applications, performing testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular website maintenance tasks, including monitoring website performance, conducting updates and backups, and ensuring security measures are in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and project managers, to contribute to project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
- Find opportunities for improvements in workflows and deliverables. Create and execute plans to capitalize on identified opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby) and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is a requirement.
- It is beneficial to have a portfolio showcasing previous web development projects or code samples to demonstrate technical skills and capabilities.
