Data Analyst & BI Developer

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst & BI Developer to join our team. The Data Analyst & BI Developer will play a critical role in analyzing data, building insightful dashboards, and leveraging AI/ML to drive data-driven decision-making. This role will focus on identifying trends, classifying products and clients for sales opportunities, and developing BI solutions to support business growth. This position has the opportunity to be fully remote if candidate is located in Illinois.

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyze auction data to identify trends, averages, and patterns in bidding behavior, product performance, and customer activity
• Classify products and clients to optimize sales strategies and marketing efforts
• Develop predictive models to support pricing and demand forecasting
• Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights
• Optimize database queries and ensure data accuracy and integrity across reporting tools
• Utilize ML and AI technologies to enhance data classification, recommendation engines, and customer segmentation
• Research and implement AI-driven solutions to improve auction strategies and operational efficiencies
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and BI trends to innovate and optimize business processes
• Database Management & Integration:
• Work with MS SQL and MySQL databases to extract, transform, and analyze data efficiently
• Assist in data warehousing initiatives and ensure seamless integration between systems
• Support data governance, security, and compliance efforts
  
  

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, BI development, or a related role
• Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL & MySQL) for querying and data manipulation
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Familiarity with Python/R and AI/ML frameworks is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate data-driven insights
• Experience in an auction, e-commerce, or marketplace environment is a plus
  
  

Physical Requirements

Routinely lifts 25 lbs. with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Significant standing and walking for long periods of time, with frequent bending, kneeling and stooping. Use of hands to reach and feel. Reads and writes, speaks and hears. Works with and around products associated with firearms.
