In addition to inTulsa, the other programs under the Experience Tulsa umbrella include Tulsa Remote, Tulsa Service Year, and Campus Tulsa, and are all economic development initiatives supported by the George Kaiser Family Foundation. Over the next few years, we hope to support other key community partners in building up Tulsa to be the most welcoming place for newcomers, while increasing social capital, community-building, and networking opportunities for all Tulsans.

Position Purpose

The Candidate Experience Manager will provide hands-on support to candidates navigating the inTulsa Talent Platform. This role involves onboarding candidates, offering personalized guidance, and assisting them in identifying job opportunities that align with their skills and career goals. The Manager will monitor candidate progress, provide coaching for interviews and applications, and collaborate with the candidate readiness team to ensure continuous preparation for career advancement. Additionally, the role includes organizing monthly readiness events, solving problems through data analysis, maintaining data accuracy, and contributing to process improvements to enhance the overall candidate experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Personalized Candidate Support: Act as the first point of contact for all candidates entering the platform, providing tailored guidance to ensure a smooth transition and engagement with the system.
  • Onboarding and Platform Navigation: Lead onboarding sessions, educating candidates on how to effectively use the platform to explore job opportunities, optimize their profiles, and connect with potential employers.
  • Role Alignment and Career Coaching: Assist candidates in identifying and applying for roles within the platform that best match their skills, experience, and long-term career aspirations, while offering insights and advice on career path strategies.
  • Interview and Application Support: Provide candidates with resources and coaching to help them prepare for interviews, application processes, and job-related assessments, ensuring their success.
  • Progress Monitoring and Engagement: Continuously track candidate progress, offering ongoing support, motivation, and guidance to ensure they remain engaged, confident, and on track throughout their job search.
  • Collaboration with Readiness Team: Work closely with the candidate readiness team to resource, prepare, and empower candidates for their next career steps, identifying skill gaps and areas of improvement.
  • Event Planning and Participation: Plan, organize, and participate in candidate readiness events, workshops, and webinars monthly to provide ongoing support, build community, and foster candidate development.
  • Problem Solving and Adaptability: Address challenges by analyzing data, identifying solutions, and adapting approaches when faced with changing circumstances, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates at every stage.
  • Data Accuracy and Detail-Oriented: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all candidate data entered into the platform while maintaining a high level of attention to detail in all communications and documentation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Take the initiative to identify areas for improvement in processes, workflows, or candidate experiences, implementing creative solutions to enhance the overall platform experience.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the team's overall mission and the success of candidates on the platform.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, education, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 2 years of experience in career services, recruiting, sales, or customer service.
  • Experience working in a candidate or client management platform.

  • Platform Proficiency: Comfort with learning and navigating the inTulsa Talent Platform and other tools that aid candidate engagement and tracking.
  • Empathy and Inclusion: A deep understanding of candidates’ emotions and challenges throughout their job search, ensuring their needs are met with care and attention.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust methods, processes, and approaches as the needs of candidates and the organization evolve.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods.
  • Occasional need to participate in virtual meetings and webinars.
  • Ability to help set up and tear down events.
  • Minimal physical demands beyond standard office work requirements.

Hours and Location

  • This is a hybrid position in Tulsa, OK.
  • We have in-person mandatory team meetings on Wednesdays.
  • A typical work week is Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Attend monthly candidate networking events outside of business hours.
