Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mass Grading General Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale site development projects. This role is responsible for directing multiple crews, ensuring efficient and high-quality execution of mass grading operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civil construction, strong leadership skills, and a results-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all mass grading operations across multiple job sites.
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor site supervisors and field crews.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize workflow.
  • Monitor site safety, enforce OSHA regulations, and conduct safety meetings.
  • Review and interpret grading plans, survey data, and specifications.
  • Manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve project challenges in real time.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in mass grading or heavy civil site development.
  • Proven experience as a General Superintendent or similar leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of earthwork, soil conditions, and grading techniques.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, surveys, and specifications.
  • Experience with GPS machine control and survey equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • OSHA certification and strong understanding of job site safety regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
