Position Summary

Under general supervision, this position will serves as a liaison between the sales, service groups and the engineering group at the manufacturing facility. This position will also assist in pursuing engineered gas compressor package sales and rentals and provides engineering assistance to the sales and manufacturing groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: may include any or all of the following.

  • Work with sales and engineering to determine the appropriate compressor package for the particular application.
  • Based on application, size compressor packages and provide recommendations to engineering on compressor set-up and operational limits.
  • Provide technical support, determine project specifications, prepare cost estimates; contribute to the design, development of equipment or redesigns to existing equipment based on the customer’s requirements and performance standards.
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions and act as a “technical liaison” to management and others.
  • Research and investigate information concerning compressor packages, which relate to compressor performance.
  • Provide educational support to the sales team, customers, and technicians on compressor applications and limits.
  • Assist the sales team in the pursuit of international and domestic compression sales.
  • Provide support to the Corporate Sales Manager, the Fabrication, Applications, and Engineering Groups.
  • Assist the technical services group with providing support for the field service operations.
  • Assist providing management with a cost analysis of packaging equipment.
  • Assist others in choosing new products to put in the rental fleet.

  • Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret written information, write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs and present numerical data effectively.
  • Proven ability to communicate information and ideas with all internal personnel as well as external customers; listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service skills and be able to deal with customers tactfully as well as efficiently and maintain a consistently positive customer service image, frequently under difficult conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize, prioritize and coordinate workload.
  • Proven ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems that involve people and machinery.

Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is required.

Computer Skills

  • Adequate level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
