Summary

Watch Analyst gathers and provides business intelligence data to provide quality service to customers and increase revenue production. The ideal candidate will be available for shifts Friday - Monday, 6am-6pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage for Watch Operations, with flexible hours.
  • Primary Objectives: Provide situational awareness and assist business development personnel by identifying real time incidents to include fires, floods, weather related events, natural disasters and man-made events and to gather specific information on these events.
  • Monitor Open Source databases and various systems (e.g., Radios, Social Media and various data sources) for important or critical information that may require after-hours notification of senior management. Maintain a log of all rotating shifts activities including the notifications from various clients and identified incidents.
  • Participate in the delivery of daily information and related status reports to include: Daily Weather updates; Overnight Fires and status of daily chases; Common Operating Picture (COP); additional focused products as directed.
  • Deliver concise and effective information, critical infrastructure and consequence management briefings to Senior Executives as required, potentially under conditions of high stress and fast-paced environment.
  • Understand the operation and basic maintenance of all communications and information technology hardware, software, and firmware utilized to perform watch functions.
  • Able to respond to the Watch facility for emergency operations. Watch Analyst are essentially 'On call' always. Watch Analyst should not live more than 1-hour drive time (normal conditions) from the Cotton’s Global Watch Center facility.
  • Schedule and monitor report delivery products daily.
  • Work closely with the different departments (Sales, Restoration, Construction, Roofing, Logistics, and Culinary) to provide insights into their business through situational awareness.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Education:
  • Minimum of a High School degree (or equivalent).
Experience:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint, Social Media platforms.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally at all organizational levels and/or with outside professionals.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills, presentation skills, critical thinking skills, domain knowledge, communication skills, adaptability, open-mindedness, and conscientiousness.
  • Effective time/resource management and project management skills/capabilities.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with expert organizational skills.
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and establish effective working relationships with all levels of staffs essential.
