About the Indiana State Park Inns:

The Indiana State Park Inns are one of the oldest state parks lodging systems in the country. We proudly operate seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana that offer a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally!

Role Overview:

This position will assist with special projects, programs, and events that benefit the entire Division of State Parks. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing of the Holiday Gift Pack Sales Program, working in a retail environment at the DNR building at the Indiana State Fair, and assisting with the hospitality booth for Indiana State Park Inns at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport, and Travel Show. In this position, you will perform administrative duties along with order fulfillment and tracking of the online merchandise store.

Salary Statement: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $15.23/ hour but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:

Assists as needed for special projects/programs/events that benefit the Division. This includes but is not limited to:

State Fair

  • Assist the team as needed to check in/price/merchandise items for the store.
  • Works with the point of sale system and processing payments.
  • Is welcoming and engaging with customers who enter the store and DNR building.
  • Ensures the store is fully stocked and maintained.

Holiday Gift Pack Sales Program

  • Works with the team to assemble the product in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Ability to maintain accuracy in program workbooks and reporting.

Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show

  • Assists the team in the preparation and set up of our booth design
  • Works the event. Answers guest questions, and supports the Division by encouraging guest visits.

Administrative Projects

  • Works with the corporate team on various projects as needed.

Online Store Order Fulfillment

  • Gathers and packages orders, ships and updates the store portal as necessary, and ensures that all orders are shipped within the company's timeline.
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and inventory.

  • Possess organizational skills in planning and coordinating a variety of projects simultaneously.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
