Who are we seeking?

We're growing fast, and searching for a dynamic, ambitious, and talented Head of Performance and Controlling. A self-motivated thinker and doer who can contribute to an international and cross-country located organization. This person will be a support of fast grow segment together with the Software Segment head.

We have major locations in Minneapolis, MN; Schenectady, NY; Houston, TX; and Wendell, NC.

In this role you will

Position Responsibilities (not All Inclusive)

Leads and guides Performance Controlling team of five that is responsible for complete and accurate financial reporting in several local and Global Siemens tools (SAP, SAC, ESPRIT)

  • Coordination and consolidation of Annual Business Plans (ABP), Forecast, and Actual financial reporting for the US & Mexico
  • Works Closely with the GridSW US&MX Head of Finance to drive alignment with Global Business Unit, and participates in Monthly Business Reviews as well as Forecast and ABP discussions
  • Responsible for updating monthly Forecast with any significant changes resulting from Monthly Business Reviews
  • Close alignment with SI GridSW strategy head and team to ensure proper assumptions and market projections reflected appropriately in forecasts and Long Range Business Plans (LRBP)
  • Meets monthly/quarterly with Global BU Performance Controlling team to ensure alignment and coordination of reporting activities and requests
  • Manages and distributes (as necessary) ad-hoc requests from Global BU or Operating Company
  • Point Person for annual Risk and Internal Controls (RIC) reviews, and test of controls
  • Interacts with CF colleagues on periodic reporting requirements, including:
  • FX risk, Embedded Derivative reporting (currently NA), Adstar reporting (Quarterly), HC, Actual, and FC validation of ESPRIT loads on a monthly basis (performed by team, reviewed by PC Head)
    • Coordination, Review, and Submission of Quarterly NA Profit Transitions to Global BU for roll-up to SI Operating Company
    • Help lead digital transformation by fostering a learning organization that supports our Transforming Everyday Analytics organization
You will impress us with the following:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent
  • 8+ years of business experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work successfully in a multi-national environment and a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the organization to think and act in ways that enhance efficiency and effectiveness while encouraging new technologies and how work is done
  • Excitement and drive for change while being empathetic to a successful organizations’ culture
  • Knowledge of Agile processes, SAP and Tableau a plus:
  • Lead and proactively drive change
  • Inspire and motivate others to deliver results
  • Driven by impact and foster a winning spirit
  • Effective communication, presentation, and networking skills up to executive level
  • Navigating global, highly matrixed organizations including processes and shaping the culture
  • MBA or CPA a plus

  • The pay range for this position is $142,310 - $243,960 plus incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
