We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Trainer to join our dynamic team. At RFgen, we are committed to enhancing the supply chain lifecycle, from manufacturing to warehouse management, with our innovative solutions that drive efficiency and growth.

Position Overview

As a Technical Trainer at RFgen Software, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading training programs that help employees and clients improve their technical skills, enhance performance, and adopt best practices in the use of RFgen’s software solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring our internal teams and customers understand the core capabilities of RFgen’s framework, standard scripting styles, coding best practices, and supply chain best practices.

This is an onsite position based at our El Dorado Hills, CA office, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to assess needs, develop engaging content, and deliver impactful training experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess Training Needs: Identify the technical requirements and skill gaps for both employees and external customers. Collaborate with team leads and stakeholders to ensure training aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Develop Training Programs: Create comprehensive training materials, including presentations, worksheets, guides, and interactive content. Design training schedules and outlines to ensure effective delivery of complex concepts.
  • Conduct Training: Lead training sessions, workshops, and webinars for both internal teams and clients. Provide on-site training and offer hands-on demonstrations to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Evaluate Effectiveness: Monitor the success of training initiatives through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Make adjustments to content and approach to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with goals.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, support, product management) to stay informed on product updates and best practices. Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring they gain maximum value from training programs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and program outcomes. Provide regular reports on training effectiveness and ROI to leadership teams.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in technical training, with a focus on software development, scripting, or supply chain technologies. Experience in mobile or barcode solutions is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a SaaS environment, with a demonstrated ability to create clear, user-focused documentation and training materials.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software development, coding best practices, and supply chain management concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical topics in an engaging, clear, and understandable way.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs for diverse audiences, including developers, end users, and technical support teams.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal teams and customers. Proven track record of delivering results and driving improvement through training initiatives.
  • Familiarity with training tools and platforms, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), webinars, and virtual classrooms.

Salary Description

$75,000 - 90,000/ year
