The Reinforced Earth Company is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.
The Production Scheduler is responsible for providing direction for overall production to enable the plant or multiple plants to meet its production obligations. Striving to increase productivity utilizing KPI’s , to allow the most efficient way to produce product. Manage to meet delivery schedules and ensure asset reliability meets or exceeds performance expectations.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 Lbs.
Frequent Walking/Standing (6+ hrs/day).

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Create and manage a production plan based on approved order demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements to meet customer service goals.
- Create and provide weekly schedule based off the demand plan to manufacturing leads/supervisors, communicating product specifics, quantities required, and expectations on priorities. Lead weekly meeting to get schedule approved.
- Work with precast coordinator on the Mid and long term schedules to highlight any concerns or roadblocks with plant capacity.
- Schedule plant utilization, as well as Forms / Liner changes required to maximize efficient runs while meeting the demand plan. Enter/review/adjust production orders into ERP system as required.
- Resolve issues stemming from manufacturing delays promptly, communicating with the departments and customers affected with action plans being taken to minimize any negative impact.
- Review, analyze, and modify plans based on actual production activities and capacity utilization, and adjust short term plan to optimize service and inventory turns.
- Help identify and correct inventory variances stemming from production errors, mis entries or any other discrepancies.
- Statistical analysis of sales data history to identify trends, sourcing improvement opportunities, and ability to level load production.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Transportation teams to address issues through continuous improvement in the order fulfillment process.
- Maintain key performance metrics surrounding production planning and plan attainment, as well as keep up to date various key data fields within the ERP system that drive master planning.
- Manage plant form and Liner inventory.
- Link approved orders and production priorities.
- Show the aptitude/ability to be trained and perform in plant support roles such as QC and Shipping.
- Obtain necessary QC certifications to support checking of the products shipping out and/or lab work and/or other QA/QC activities.
- Support shipping process including creating packing slips, locating elements in the stock yard, dispatching shipments, etc.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager as deemed appropriate and necessary by them.
- Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 3+ years supervisory or 5+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment, leading multiple departments.
- Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field or Bachelors’ degree preferred.
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position Knowledge/Skills/Ability.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and allocate resources.
- Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Proven working experience in demand planning while delivering above average customer experience.
- Proven track record of managing a large number of SKU’s in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and teach how to read technical plans and drawings
- Thorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methods
- Thorough knowledge of development and utilization of KPI’s
- Thorough knowledge of company product, policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated successful application of managerial and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills and dealing with ambiguity.
- Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
- Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively implement change.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and lead teams.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Data mining and analytical skills with an above average proficiency in MS Excel.
