Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Project Controls Sr Scheduler to join our Project Services team, supporting manufacturing projects for the Corporate Projects and Engineering Group. This team collaborates with 22 continuous manufacturing facilities across the U.S. to execute capital projects. Our Team

Our team is made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds supporting the project controls capabilities across Georgia Pacific. The project Services team builds and strengthens relationships with industry wide partners to successfully execute projects throughout the United States. Our team is comprised of project controls leads, capability leaders, and individual contributors who support project best practices during front end loading on thru project closeout.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and document scheduling best practices for portfolio management, capital projects, and outages.
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and provide cold eye reviews on other projects.
  • Continuously enhance benchmarking standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage the scheduling online environment, including user setup, permissions, security, and resource strategy.
  • Perform ad hoc schedule audits as required.
  • Create master or portfolio-level schedules for high-profile projects.
  • Collaborate with discipline leads to ensure efficient integration of business process planning (BPP) with scheduling.
  • Onboard and train new employees and contractors.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience utilizing Primavera and/or MS Project scheduling software at a master level 3-5 years.
  • Experience building and integrating detailed, complex schedules for multi-disciplinary, multi-company projects lasting over three years.
  • Experience facilitating and managing interactive planning sessions for both internal and external teams.
  • Experience utilizing indirect leadership and influence to others.
  • Experience utilizing Loadspring or similar web hosting services.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 10+ years of project controls experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Ecosys EPPM software.
  • Proficiency with risk analysis tools such as @Risk or Acumen.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems, including SAP.
  • Project Management Practices (PMP), ACCE Certifications, or Primavera Certifications.
  • Experience leading integrated schedules on projects over $100MM.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management, or Science.

For this role, we anticipate paying $ 100k - $150k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
