The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead and grow our Distributor Sales Team. This role reports directly to the VP of Sales – Distribution and is critical in shaping and implementing sustainable strategies to drive business success. As the Director of Sales, you would oversee and mentor a team of Territory Managers, build strong relationships with distributors and sales agencies, and ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.

Your Impact

  • Foster strong relationships with distributors and sales agencies through exceptional customer service and support
  • Deliver tailored sales training for representative agencies and distributors on both new and existing product offerings
  • Oversee and mentor Territory Managers, guiding them in expanding their respective territories
  • Cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing accounts
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, leveraging sales reports to identify new opportunities or address potential gaps
  • Full accountability for ensuring both Agency and Territory Managers (TMs) achieve or exceed their sales goals is a critical responsibility of this role

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent to work experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of account management experience, a lighting background is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of management or leadership experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Strong ability to perform sales and market analysis
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel 2.5-3 weeks each month
