Staff Assistant 1 - Surgery Dept

Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.8 (64 hours per pay period) | Part Time | Variable Scheduled Days

Salary: Starting at $16.00 an hour and up - based on years of relevant experience.

Position Summary

The Staff Assistant 1 for the Surgery Department at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center is responsible for scheduling, staffing, and maintaining after hour call schedules in HALO. In addition, this position updates surgeon and staff phone lists, takes meeting minutes for Peri-Op Quality Operations Committee, Robotic Steering Committee, and Endoscopy Strategy meetings.

Depending on the department or unit supported, responsibilities may also include all or part of the following:

• Front desk duties such as answering , screening, and directing phone calls; greeting patients, visitors, staff, and others and directing them to the appropriate individual, and/or providing some instructions or information.
• May maintain files and filing systems and may assist in creating filing systems.
• Order and maintain supplies and materials as directed.
• Process incoming and/or outgoing mail.
• Process routine forms and documents and perform routine data entry.
• May assist with more complex office support tasks such as report generation, calendaring for executives, spreadsheets, newsletters, preparation of invoices, check requests, travel requests, etc.
  
  

Position Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree in office sciences or related area, preferred.
  
  

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an office environment.
• Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office applications.
