JOB TITLE: Inside Sales Representative REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
EXEMPT: No DEPARTMENT: PAR
SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative will serve as the primary contact and consultant at their assigned PAR branch. This role is responsible for recommending solutions, quoting prices, selling, and fulfilling orders for our equipment and services based on customer needs. The representative ensures excellent customer service through the timely and accurate distribution of products. Additionally, they will manage price negotiations and quotes, resolving customer issues as they arise and referring them to the Branch Manager when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.
Operations:
- Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts
- Determine equipment available for rental
- Provide sales support
- Generate leads for new business and communicate leads with PAR Account Managers
- Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers
- Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs
- May assist in educating customers on equipment use and demonstrating equipment for customers
- Negotiate prices on equipment rentals in accordance with pricing policies and procedures
- Warm call on lost and/or dormant accounts to retain business
- Coordinate with PAR Dispatch to manage customer expectations regarding delivery
- Support all team members
- Maximize revenue through superior customer service on all existing orders
- Use Company provided systems/tools to fully document, track, record, follow up, and capture all related sales activity in a timely and accurate manner. Use of the system should contribute directly to the proposal process, winning the sale, sales volume, territory awareness, participation, and customer satisfaction
Customer Service:
- Processes customer orders and quotes
- Resolve negotiations and customer issues by referring them to the Branch Manager when appropriate
- Monitors fulfillment of orders to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Maintain proficiency in machine and implement applications that are applicable to the customer base
- Work in conjunction with the Account Manager, responsible for follow up and expediting of orders
- Coordinate and/or communicate with customers and applicable departments to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate occasional pickup and delivery of orders as needed from suppliers and/or customer locations

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in sales, customer service, or the rental industry.
- Exceptional relationship building and customer service skills.
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Rentalman, Click Up, and CRM is a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
Language Skills:
- Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, coworkers, and management verbally and in writing
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
ENVIRONMENT:
- Work time is split between the office, shop and yard in a variety of weather
- Regular time is spent on the computer and phone
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasionally: Drive, sit, bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, kneel, reach above the shoulder, climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers, handle tools, see (including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception), hear and speak, lift to 50lbs
