Summary/Objective

• Warehouse organizes Stone Mountain Access rental equipment and general small repairs as needed.

Essential Functions

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
• Maintain, warehouse, and inspect all power cords, wire rope, and other items which need an inspection prior to being placed in the rent-ready storage areas.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area free from debris or items not needed for the immediate task at hand.
• Use tools properly for their intended use and maintain all company provided tools and equipment in proper working order.
• Ensure SMA grounds are free of debris and ice/snow.
• Light building maintenance as required.
• Transport equipment to and from worksites in SMA owned vehicles.

Supervisory Responsibility

• None required for this position.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud up to 50% of the time. This position is performed in all weather conditions with 90% of work performed outdoors and 10% of work performed inside.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift, push, pull or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, first shift, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift experience preferred.

Required Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak, read and write English required.
• Ability to speak, read or write Spanish preferred.

Math Skills

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills

• None required for this position.
