Cogent People Inc. is looking for a Test Engineer to support a large-scale IT application development program for a critical data-centric project. This role involves automation testing, defining test strategies, and improving test effectiveness and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to deliver full-stack solutions and improve application quality throughout the lifecycle.
- Perform continuous testing for security, API, and regression.
- Develop automation strategies, create scripts, and manage data and environment configurations.
- Participate in code reviews and track defects to improve the testing process.
- Transform testing into an efficient and continuous process using automation and advanced tools.
- Create smarter, predictive testing approaches through automation.
- 5+ years of experience in QA for front-end and back-end systems, including functional and non-functional testing.
- 3+ years of experience with front-end automation frameworks like Selenium and scripting.
- Proficiency in Java and Java-based test automation frameworks.
- Ability to create and execute test plans, define test cases, and implement end-to-end automation.
- Experience with performance testing (Gatling preferred).
- Experience with SQL and data validations.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of security and data protection.
- Experience interpreting requirements and executing test suites for large IT systems.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
