Job Overview

Metro Lawn Sprinkler Service is seeking a well-rounded, mechanically inclined individual to take on a dual-role as a Mechanic and Cement Lifting Specialist. This is a year-round opportunity with significant potential for growth, particularly within our Cement Lifting department, where the right candidate can expand into estimating, selling, and repairing full-time.

In addition to Cement Lifting, this role involves fleet and equipment maintenance, helping to keep our tools, vehicles, and machinery in top condition. If Cement Lifting work is slow, this individual will have the opportunity to assist with our Sprinkler Team seasonally to stay busy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cement Lifting (Primary Focus):
    • Perform Mudjacking and other cement lifting operations using proper techniques and safety procedures.
    • Help expand the department by assisting with estimating, selling, and repair services.
    • Operate and maintain cement lifting equipment, including pumps and injection tools.
  • Mechanical & Fleet Maintenance:
    • Perform oil changes, tire replacements, brake repairs, and general vehicle maintenance.
    • Handle repairs on company trucks, dump trailers, augers, and other heavy equipment.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain tools and mechanical systems.
  • Additional Responsibilities (As Needed):
    • Assist with sprinkler system installations and repairs during peak irrigation seasons.
    • Support other departments as needed to ensure steady year-round work.
Qualifications

  • Prior experience in mechanical repair, vehicle maintenance, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience with cement lifting or a willingness to learn on the job.
  • Ability to operate trucks, trailers, loaders, and heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license preferred but not required.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and flexibility.

Schedule & Work Location:
