Here's a Summary Of Responsibilities

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is looking for a consultative, analytical, problem-solving team member to join the People & Culture (P&C) team as a Compensation Analyst. The Compensation Analyst contributes to the development, execution, and communication of compensation and rewards programs that support the mission and strategic objectives of the USOPC, drive externally competitive and internally equitable pay practices, and foster a culture of high-performance and holistic well-being among USOPC team members. The Compensation Analyst also partners with the People & Culture Analyst to develop and execute data analytics and insights, with the goal to assess the team member experience and associated programs, communicate people data to various stakeholders, and support data-driven decision-making.

  • Here’s how you ‘ll have an impact:
  • Conduct job analyses and evaluations for positions to ensure appropriate compensation levels and internal equity. Review requests for new or revised jobs and determine title, market pricing, FLSA status, and salary recommendation. Serve as a consultant with hiring managers and People Business Partners, as appropriate.
  • Perform market benchmarking of all jobs to assess the competitiveness of the USOPC’s pay. Analyze pay across the organization and recommend pay adjustments as needed to remain competitive and internally equitable.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Compensation & Analytics to design compensation and job structures and resources. Leverage compensation software and data tools to model alternatives, evaluate the implications on team member pay, and recommend remediation plans.
  • Review resumes for new hires and recommend offer pay range. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to handle negotiations from candidates by providing expertise of current pay levels in similar roles across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Director to conduct pay equity audits and market studies, strategize remediation plans, and implement findings. Work closely with People Business Partners to communicate and implement pay changes with people leaders and team members.
  • Participate in market compensation surveys, including identifying new sources for salary data. Manage salary survey data in compensation system, ensuring current data is available for up-to-date market benchmarking.
  • In support of career development, contribute to the annual development opportunity process and ongoing departmental talent planning processes, including consulting with leaders, performing job and market analyses, providing salary recommendations, preparing review materials, and executing and communicating job changes. Serve as a strategic thought partner with People Business Partners to evaluate and implement organizational design.
  • Manage the annual merit and incentive processes. Maintain compensation module in performance management software, providing troubleshooting and customer service to leaders as they make allocations. Create documentation to outline allocation processes with participants, as well as final merit and incentive analytics reports to share with leaders. Partner with the Engagement & Performance team to communicate end-of-year processes to people leaders and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor, wage, and hour laws. Conduct audits, both periodic and on demand to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Partner with the People Systems team to develop, optimize, and implement technology solutions, providing expertise in how compensation processes may be impacted and/or optimized by technology. Serve as the administrator for the compensation system, including managing projects to launch new features or tools within the compensation system.
  • Manage the job description library. Create and deploy processes within compensation system to streamline job evaluations and add value for the organization.
  • Administer the Reward & Recognition spot bonus program, including reviewing and approving award requests. Contribute expertise to the creation, development, and execution of reward and recognition programs, in partnership with the Engagement & Performance team.
  • Develop analytics and run reports for ongoing people reporting and projects. Support the People & Culture Analyst in maintaining the people analytics and reporting tool, building compelling reports, and connecting compensation to the overall team member experience. Contribute to translating data into actionable insights and educating leaders on using data to inform people decisions.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Management, or Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Existing certification or progress towards certification in Compensation (i.e., Certified Compensation Professional) a plus
  • 3 years of experience in compensation administration and program development or similar field
  • Experience providing solutions in a customer-focused, consultative manner
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Experience working with HRMS or similar technology products
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of team members and with external business contacts
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledgeable in compensation and rewards best practices
  • Strong communicator including excellent listening skills, ease in establishing rapport, and ability to influence others
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and to exercise sound business judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong solution orientation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance strategic consultation with customers and tactical execution in systems
  • Organizational agility and acumen

  • Hiring pay range: $65,805-$83,573
  • This Full-time, Exempt position is intended to work 40hours per week.
  • Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 10%target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
