We’re seeking a dynamic and proactive Associate Technical Project Manager. This person will lead and facilitate cross functional teams in the planning and execution of projects related to our Global Manufacturing and Test Services organization. This organization is comprised of many manufacturing locations and design centers providing product development and qualifications. The Associate Technical Project Manager acts as the team leader of the project and manages the project within the constraints of cost, quality, and timing requirements documented in the project plan. Projects are focused on Cable Assemblies, Automation/Semi-Automation equipment, supplier development, and process optimization. What You Will Do
- Develop internal & external facing Project Charters that clearly articulate project strategy, scope, financials, and schedule.
- Develops, documents, and maintains the Project Plans (Scope, Schedule, Budget, Risks, Success Criteria, etc.) for assigned projects, including cable processing and procurement initiatives.
- Leads cross functional strategic teams through the execution, monitoring, and achievement of the project plan using Project Management methodologies such as Action Item Lists, Gantt Charts, Risk Registers, Key Performance Indicators, Team Meetings, etc. Cross functional teams include Manufacturing Integration Engineer, Test Engineer, Suppliers, Plant, Project Management team, Product Management, Procurement, etc.
- Clearly and concisely communicates the value proposition of strategic projects and contributes to project justification and stakeholder approval.
- Responsible for team communications and promoting the team projects across the business unit.
- Proactively identifies, documents, and executes risk reduction activities to minimize Project Risks associated with Cost, Quality, and Timing that could negatively affect the project.
- Clearly and concisely communicates status of assigned projects to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Advocates and ensures project team adherence to the Project Plan, Check Point Reviews, and other related procedures.
- Maintains planned and actual phase dates.
- Understands, supports, and contributes to current Molex standards/PBM culture.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Work closely with the plant operations team and assist with machine implementation, be the liaison between operations and machine supplier.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial). or related disciplines
- Experience with Project Management tools (i.e., SharePoint, MS Project, Jira, Confluence)
- 1 or more years of experience leading projects as well as teams
- Experience working on Global projects.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15-20%
- Ability to work mornings and evenings to accommodate global meetings.
- Proficiency using MS Project
- Experience running Cross Functional Team Meetings
- Managing budgets and budget tracking
- Experience in manufacturing and having a high-level understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Bi-lingual
