Basic bartending knowledge is a plus as we are looking for a candidate to possibly cross-train. The position we are looking to fill will be part-time and must have open availability on weekends.

Position Summary

Servers sell and serve food and drinks in a professional manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Recommending and selling beverages to guests
• Serving food and drinks to guests
• Entering all orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Accepting money and making change when needed
• Assisting the bartender with stocking, inventory, and general cleaning
• Ensuring compliance with all State and local alcohol ordinances and the implementation of these ordinances
• Performing cleaning side work as assigned
• Completing all service paperwork as required
• Supporting waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as required
• Performing other work-related duties as directed
  
  

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

• Excellent customer service and people skills required
• Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
• State Alcohol server license and food handler’s card required
• Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
• Physical ability to carry medium trays with multiple drinks
• Previous server/restaurant experience preferred
• High energy and stamina are required
• Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
• Strong verbal communication skills required
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
• Ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Knowledge of safety procedures

The employee is occasionally exposed to hazards including, but not limited to cuts from knives, slipping, tripping, falls and burns; frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold; frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items and frequent washing of hands.
