Position Summary
The Mortgage Servicing Analyst will be responsible for the accurate servicing of real estate loans and will be responsible for performing a variety of support and administrative functions related to the sale, servicing and accounting of residential mortgages. The person in this position may be required to cross-train in other mortgage functions such as preparing loan documents or closing loans This person in this position will be placed within the Mortgage lending areas. The person in this position could have other priorities within the loan department at any time in the future, as established by the SVP of Lending.

Essential Functions & Primary Responsibilities
- Use the FICS mortgage system and be able to record data and track information. All mortgage payment processing, posting and balancing transactions including reconciling GL’s. Board and audit new mortgages for quality control before the mortgage folder is filed.
- Other functions include answering membership questions, specialized clerical duties such as maintaining mortgage files, payment processing, tax payment processing, paying PMI, Hazard Insurance, Flood Insurance and property taxes. Typing standardized forms, researching records and operating office machines.
- Work with vendors, agents and homeowners to obtain tax or homeowners’ insurance. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls, and should request legal interpretation as necessary. Must ensure subordinates are also compliant with such laws and regulations.
- Must be bondable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Needs to be self-motivated, detail-oriented and extremely accurate and demonstrate exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- The person in this position needs to be able to learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Loan Policy and Guidelines and be able to understand complex Fannie Mae guidelines and regulations. Annual online training will be required.
- The person in this position needs to be flexible and able to multi-task and actively solve problems. The person in this position needs to demonstrate a positive attitude toward the members, co-workers and the credit union and needs to be willing to work as a team to assist co-workers and serve members in a fast paced environment.
- The person in this position needs to be able to read and write correspondence, answer the phone and follow instructions. The person in this position must be able to interact on a highly professional level with members and other employees of the organization.
- Presents a positive and professional image to members through effective and courteous verbal and written communications.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
