Summary

Prepares specimens for analysis by registering and accessioning orders via Laboratory Information Systems (clinical lab and/or anatomic pathology), verifying specimen acceptability.

• Rotating shifts- Days and nights
• Laboratory Assistant experience highly preferred.
  
  

Responsibilities

Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.Performs clerical duties. Also maintains equipment and adequate stock of supplies. Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.

• Provides laboratory customer service to include request for add-ons, specimen collection information, phlebotomy requests, result inquiry, etc.
