Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college courses.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in the discipline.

Three (3) years of experience as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).

Current American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Demonstrate skill, knowledge and abilities in the teaching discipline.

Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction.

Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.

Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
