Scientist/Engineer (Metal Production) at Voya Energy

As one of the first members of the Voya team, you will have a key role in the development of the company. The successful candidate will take a leading role in setting the scientific direction of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop inert anode and cathode materials and electrolytes for electrochemical production of Voya’s fuel-grade metal.
• Design and demonstrate high-efficiency cell architectures and process conditions.
• Work with Voya’s advanced prototyping team to scale and demonstrate these new materials and processes in pilot and production-intent systems.

Qualifications:

• Track record of developing materials for high-temperature metallurgy or electrochemical processes or scaling such processes to pilot or production-scale.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably for large-scale process development.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment
• Results-oriented with a strong sense urgency
