About You
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our growing Platform Engineering team. You'll be responsible for building and scaling engineering teams that connect our best-in-class home health logistics platform into users' daily workflows while maintaining engineering excellence across our suite of applications. This role will oversee the technical direction of our platform initiatives, manage multiple workstreams, and drive the development of scalable solutions.

You have deep expertise in both architecture and full stack development, excellent people management skills, and a passion for solving systems challenges at scale. What You’ll Do
- Coach and mentor engineers at various career stages while fostering a collaborative team culture
- Build and scale the mobile and web application engineering teams
- Track progress and coordinate delivery across concurrent initiatives
- Establish metrics and reporting that demonstrate the impact, performance, and reliability of platform systems
- Ensure developer velocity by implementing and advocating for development process improvement across multiple technical work streams
- Support the development of scalable, standards-based architecture to support hundreds of thousands of patients across integrations and platform operations
- Design and build systems that comply with healthcare data security standards and regulations (HIPAA, SOC-2, HITRUST, etc)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in engineering management
- Track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on schedule in a high growth, fast paced, startup environment
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, web services, and modern API development practices
- Hands on development experience with JavaScript, Typescript, React, Node, Python, and Django
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to evaluate, develop, and retain engineering talent
- Experience implementing agile development methodologies
- Working knowledge of data security and compliance requirements
- Experience at a growth stage healthcare technology startup
- Prior work with home healthcare, telehealth, or care coordination solutions
- Familiarity with logistics optimization and scheduling systems
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7)
- Experience managing and deploying applications with AWS
