Job Summary

Work with Project Teams, DP&C, Supply Chain Management, Equipment Vendors and Materials Management to track, monitor and coordinate the procurement and delivery of long lead equipment items such as Transformers, Breakers, Disconnects and GIS. Provide business, commercial and logistics support to various internal and external stake-holder groups. Develop and implement performance improvement opportunities when they arise. Oversee vendors' purchase orders, cash flows, invoices approval and processing. Coordinate, consolidate, forecast and budget for Asset Management. Work with DP&C cost engineers and project schedulers for milestone tracking, monthly schedule updates and cash flow process. Gather "level of effort" data from equipment vendors for accrual reports. Resolve conflict for payments and delivery of equipment. Oversee and track various equipment movements and related accounting changes. Prepare Ad-hoc analysis, review historical data and spend summary report on a quarterly basis.Reconcile Spare Transformer Inventory database to Transformers on the property. Track equipment swaps. Work with auditors during department equipment audits. Collect, summarize, and analyze various financial/operational data and performance measures related to Asset Management inside Plant Equipment. Support in implementing and monitoring accounting controls. Provide gap analysis and recommendations to clients to drive improved business results. Integrate financial and operating information to add value to the business. Experience with SAP, ARIBA, forecasting and accounting is key for this position. Monthly interaction with vendor in different time zones. Addressing vendor delivery issues to insure timely communication and resolution of issues. Timely creating and distributing various reports monthly and quarterly. Logging vendor equipment manuals and CDs on SharePoint library.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop queries and spreadsheet reports for clients to support business results.
  • Provide gap analysis and recommendations to clients that drive improved business results. Collect, track, summarize, and analyze various financial/operational/material equipment data and performance measures.
  • Develop and implement work management policies and processes.
  • Conduct self-assessment for Delivery work management processes to ensure compliance and controls.
  • Provide business support to enhance various processes they are supporting.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Business or Finance or equivalent plus 4 years of related experience in some of the following areas: Logistics and procurement, Cost/Controls, Scheduling, Vendor/Projects interface, and Construction projects
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of experience (logistics and procurement; Cost/controls; Scheduling; Vendor/Projects interface; and Construction projects) including at least 3 years of SAP, and Excel data analysis and reporting.
  • SAP experience, analytical and financial acumen.
  • PC skills, specifically proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated customer/client/vendor skills, strong teamwork, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. You may also be required to work in an alternate location.
  • Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
