- Assist Service Manager with supervising service advisors, technicians, and porters to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery
- Ensure technicians properly diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspensions, brakes, air conditioning, and more
- Guide service advisors in gathering comprehensive customer and vehicle information, providing maintenance recommendations, and preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates
- Work with porters to ensure vehicles are transported, parked, and staged efficiently to support the service workflow
- Monitor the drive lane to ensure service advisors and porters provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers
- Foster clear communication between technicians, service advisors, and porters to ensure customers are informed of additional required services and accurate time estimates for repairs
- Assign repair and maintenance tasks to technicians, ensuring equal workload distribution and increased productivity
- Supervise and verify the use of diagnostic tools, special service equipment, and test-driving processes to ensure accurate vehicle diagnostics and repair
- Verify that warranty repairs are executed in compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Conduct quality control checks on completed repairs to confirm adherence to dealership and safety standards
- Keep up to date with Video MPVI and latest technology to meet customer expectations
- Oversee the completion of repair orders by technicians to ensure work is performed efficiently and according to dealership and manufacturer standards
- Establish follow-up timelines with customers and address escalated concerns and reviews to enhance customer satisfaction
- Monitor technician time management to ensure all service hours are effectively utilized and sold
- Oversee the maintenance and availability of diagnostic tools and shop equipment to maximize efficiency
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
- Track service department metrics, analyze trends, and prepare performance reports for management
- Identify and implement improvements to optimize customer experience and departmental productivity and processes
- Assist Service Manager with other duties as assigned
- Previous Automotive Experience required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Friendly, customer-oriented demeanor with exceptional communication skills
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and coordinating team activities
- Professional appearance, maintaining a well-groomed and polished image
- Must have a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to submit to a Background Check and Drug Screen
