What You Will Be Doing

  • Guiding students through goal-setting processes and supporting them in achieving personalized learning objectives to foster self-direction.
  • Delivering focused instruction in foundational literacy and social-emotional competencies, working alongside Reading Specialists for ongoing support.
  • Creating classroom environments that promote curiosity and persistence through engaging, experiential learning activities.
  • Integrating AI-powered educational tools to optimize learning outcomes and prepare students for technology-enhanced learning contexts.
  • Working collaboratively with educators and support staff to address each student's distinct learning profile and adapt instructional approaches accordingly.

Depending exclusively on conventional teaching practices without incorporating advanced educational technology.

Reading Interventionist Key Responsibilities

Lead the cultivation of independent learning capabilities and essential life skills for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, establishing a foundation for sustained academic achievement and personal development.

Basic Requirements

  • Available to work on-site at one of our campus locations: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Tampa, FL; or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years working directly with children ages 4 - 8 years old in educational, afterschool, athletic, or comparable environments.
  • Demonstrated capacity to apply growth mindset principles and high-performance coaching methods.
  • Proficient with and eager to utilize AI and other technologies within educational contexts.
  • Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

The following qualifications strengthen your candidacy, though you should apply if you satisfy the core requirements listed above:

  • Academic credentials or certification in early childhood education, child development, reading intervention, or related disciplines
  • Professional certifications or specialized training in early learning approaches including CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.
  • Background as a K-2 classroom teacher, literacy coach, or reading specialist with formal preparation or professional development in phonics and reading instruction frameworks.
  • Prior work in educational environments that prioritize individualized learning models and technology integration.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
