Position Overview

United Veterinary Care is seeking a Payroll Analyst to play a key role in delivering accurate, timely payroll for more than 2,500 U.S. team members. In this high-volume, fast-paced environment, you’ll manage end-to-end payroll processing while navigating ongoing change and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll join a collaborative, deadline-driven team where precision, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued. This is a fully remote role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consistent, accurate bi-weekly payroll for all hospitals nationally.
  • Audit preview reports for accuracy every payroll for bi-weekly normal cycle or off cycle processing.
  • Calculate/verify all termination payouts before finalizing payroll.
  • Work closely with accounting on reconciliation of payroll/payroll tax accounts to ensure month end balancing is taking place.
  • Perform off cycle payroll processing when necessary for approved terminations/missed payments.
  • Accurately record and track adjustments and create payroll-sensitive watch lists.
  • Monitor all correspondence of returns/credits through Ceridian to ensure year to dates are maintained due to inaccurate direct deposit errors.
  • Acquire all necessary approvals to finalize payroll for bi-weekly and off cycle processing.
  • Perform uploads for bonuses and commission payments and verify upload amounts into the system.
  • Enter and manage wage garnishments along with answers/follow through.
  • Frequently monitors the payroll system for accuracy with audit and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensures accurate taxation and garnishments are applied to team member accounts and makes necessary adjustments where needed.
  • Manage continual Service Requests for resolution and tracking of ongoing issues along with clearing a payroll mailbox daily.
  • Conducts quarterly and year-end audits of 940’s, 941’s, W2s and other required reporting activities.
  • Communicates with the People Team to coordinate necessary updates/changes to team member accounts during each payroll.
  • Troubleshoot system payroll/payroll tax related issues.
  • Work consistently with cross-functional teams including HRIS, People, Operations, Finance, Integrations, and IT.
  • Recommends process enhancements for continuous improvement, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Confidentiality and respect for team member privacy and sensitive data.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3-5 years related Payroll and Payroll Tax processing experience.
  • Significant experience working in multi-state payroll and payroll tax knowing current local, state, and federal guidelines for accurate team member setup.
  • Dayforce payroll experience is highly preferred.
  • Daily Pay experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills are a must for our team regarding all payroll and payroll tax matters.


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent work at a computer for 90-100% of the time.
  • Frequent to moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Frequent ability to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch as well as manipulate (life, carry and move) up to 15 pounds.
