Louisiana Centers

At Butterfly Effects, families are at the center of everything we do, and we know our team members make all the difference. We are committed to making a socially significant change in the lives of children and families affected by autism. We are seeking a State Center Operations Director to support Louisiana centers that provide treatment to young children affected by autism.

The State Center Operations Director oversees all non-clinical operations across our five Louisiana ABA centers: New Orleans, Metairie, Mandeville, Baton Rouge, and Marrero. Partnering with local clinical leadership, administrative staff, and national support teams, this role owns the operational engine of the region: facilities and vendor management, scheduling and utilization, resource planning, operational compliance, business workflows, and family experience from first contact through daily care.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, process-driven operations leader who is comfortable managing priorities across multiple locations, building strong internal and external relationships, and keeping teams focused on the operational work that supports access, growth, and a high-quality experience for families and team members.

What Would You Be Doing?

  • Lead daily non-clinical operations across all five Louisiana Centers, including New Orleans, Metairie, Mandeville, Baton Rouge, and Marrero.
  • Manage center performance to daily and monthly business metrics.
  • Maintain frequent daily interaction with Center Directors, State Directors, and the national office.
  • Work with the facilities team to ensure centers meet internal quality standards, repairs are quickly completed, and compliance with State and Local fire/business codes.
  • Supervise administrative and support team members, while indirectly supporting RBTs and BCBAs in partnership with the Louisiana Regional Director(s) and clinical leadership.
  • Serve as the HR liaison for Louisiana Centers by supporting policy adherence, employee relations issues, center communication, and consistent operational follow-through.
  • Partner with Regional Directors on successes, needs, issues, and action plans involving clinical team members and center operations.
  • Oversee scheduling of team members and families across Louisiana Centers to support utilization, access to care, engagement, and billable hours.
  • Manage center operations, including supplies, inventory, cleaning, facility scheduling, safety, appearance, vendors, and other operational issues at each location.
  • Use company systems to generate reports and provide key operating metrics to management across all Louisiana Centers.
  • Support monthly staff trainings across centers on policies and operational or HR-related topics.
  • Work with families in a positive and professional manner, helping ensure follow-through on commitments, engagement in the therapy process, and communication with team members.
  • Maintain awareness of local market compensation trends and share relevant insights with company leaders.
  • Contribute to BCBA recruiting and retention by ensuring concerns are heard and, when appropriate, the business case for operational change is explored.
  • Ensure team members assigned to administrative time are completing meaningful, appropriate, and productive work aligned with center needs.

Why Work at Butterfly Effects?

  • Mission-driven work supporting children and families affected by autism.
  • A multi-site leadership role with the opportunity to influence the consistency and effectiveness of operations across Louisiana.
  • Close partnership with clinical leaders, Regional Directors, center teams, and national support resources.
  • A role focused on improving access, utilization, family experience, team engagement, and operational execution.
  • A fast-moving environment where process improvement, follow-through, and collaboration can make a visible impact.

What Do You Bring to the Role?

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or healthcare administration required; master's degree preferred.
  • Five years of progressive operations leadership experience.
  • Two or more years of work experience in health care; ABA therapy knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational processes, building and expanding team operations, managing facilities, and overseeing vendors.
  • Strong client focus, professionalism, integrity, collaboration skills, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with budget creation, budget analysis, reporting, metrics, and operational decision-making.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work with a diverse workforce while balancing individual needs and business needs.
  • Ability to travel regularly among multiple center locations within Louisiana; reliable personal transportation is required.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. and work in a professional office/center environment using standard office equipment.
  • Background check clearance required and subject to 5-year re-screening.

What Success Looks Like

  • Louisiana Centers operate consistently, safely, and efficiently, with strong follow-through on supplies, facilities, scheduling, and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Scheduling, team member utilization, family engagement, and billable-hour opportunities are actively monitored and improved.
  • Administrative and support teams understand expectations, receive timely feedback, and complete meaningful work that supports center performance.
  • Regional Directors, clinical leaders, and national support teams receive timely communication, accurate reporting, and clear escalation of operational issues.
  • Families experience professional, responsive communication and a center environment that supports engagement in the therapy process.
  • Operational decisions are supported by data, metrics, and a clear understanding of center-level needs across Louisiana.
