Role Summary
The Chief Data & AI Office is seeking a seasoned Director-level Project / Program Management leader to establish and lead a high-performing program management function across Data and AI workstreams. This role will provide execution discipline, portfolio transparency, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level communication support across a fast-moving, strategic agenda.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, hands-on leader who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, driving structure across multiple initiatives, and ensuring disciplined follow-through across complex technology, data, AI, governance, and change-management efforts. This individual will also serve as a trusted Chief of Staff partner , helping translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, executive materials, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the Data & AI program management function , including operating routines, governance forums, status reporting, issue/risk management, and cross-workstream coordination.
- Oversee and coordinate project managers supporting Data, AI, platform, governance, reporting, and business enablement initiatives.
- Drive execution across multiple concurrent priorities , ensuring clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, escalations, and timely follow-through.
- Partner with technology, business, risk, governance, finance, and transformation stakeholders to align delivery plans with enterprise priorities and control expectations.
- Lead large-scale technology implementation and change-management activities , helping teams move from strategy through adoption, operational readiness, and measurable value realization.
- Create executive-ready communications and presentations , translating complex program details into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership, governance forums, and business partners.
- Serve as a leadership partner , helping prepare leadership discussions, synthesize decisions, track commitments, anticipate risks, and improve the effectiveness of the broader Data & AI organization.
- Bring analytical rigor to portfolio management , including prioritization, capacity planning, dependency management, KPI tracking, benefits realization, and executive-level reporting.
Required Experience & Capabilities
- Seasoned Project / Program Management leader with experience managing complex, cross-functional technology portfolios.
- Strong background in technology systems implementation , preferably across data platforms, AI/analytics, enterprise applications, or large-scale transformation programs.
- Proven experience leading large-scale change management , adoption planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, PMs, priorities, and executive follow-ups simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent executive communication, storytelling, presentation development, and written communication skills .
- Highly articulate, assertive, structured, and analytical , with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive clarity.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to operate as a trusted partner to senior leadership.
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguity, simplify complexity, and convert strategy into disciplined execution.

The successful candidate will be a force multiplier for the Data & AI leadership team: someone who can connect strategy to execution, bring discipline without bureaucracy, communicate with clarity, and influence, and help the organization move faster while maintaining transparency, accountability, and control.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
Visa sponsorship/support is based on business needs. We do not anticipate providing visa sponsorship/support for this position.
- New York / New Jersey: $210k-275k
- Non–New York / New Jersey: $200k-256k
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
