Gas Fireplace Technician at California Mantel & Fireplace Inc.

As a Fireplace Technician, your focus is service, repair, and diagnostics rather than new installs. You'll visit customers' homes to troubleshoot and repair gas, wood, and electric fireplaces and inserts, handle preventative maintenance, and take care of warranty and post-install callbacks.

You'll be the friendly, knowledgeable face customers see after the sale, so clear communication with homeowners and our office matters just as much as technical skill.

Responsibilities

· Diagnose and repair gas, wood, and electric fireplaces and inserts

· Troubleshoot ignition systems, thermostats, blowers, gas valves, and venting

· Perform preventative maintenance and annual cleanings

· Handle warranty service and post-install callbacks

· Identify needed parts and coordinate parts ordering with the office

· Communicate clearly with customers and the office about findings, repairs, and next steps

· Follow safety practices and manufacturer service procedures on every call

Requirements

Requirements

· Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record

· Able to lift 50+ lbs

· Comfortable diagnosing electrical and gas systems

· Must pass a background check

Nice to have

· HVAC, appliance, or gas technician experience (preferred)

· Your own basic hand tools (preferred)
