General Summary of Position Unit Highlights Nurses on 5C provide post operative care to patients who receive elective joint replacements, spine surgeries, and those needing fixation after traumatic fractures. This unit also provides the opportunity to care for patients undergoing Gender Affirmation Surgery! 5C is one of three units at MedStar Washington Hospital Center to receive the PRISM award from the Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses Qualifications · AND, BSN, MSN or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required · Prior Clinical Nursing experienced preferred · Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required Why MedStar Health?
