Controller

The Controller position will work with a very close-knit team that works very well together in their specialties. This position is tasked with taking over all of the accounting. It is a hands-on role that needs someone that is self-driven and enjoys complex accounting. If you are someone that wants to work in a close-knit team and have long-term stability in your role, then this position may be for you!
Responsibilities include:

• Compilation and review of financial statements from all investments across the office, public equities and private investments.
• Responsible for managing tax projections and planning across portfolio investments to optimize tax positions.
• Complete month-end and year-end close process, resolving any discrepancies.
• Create P&L statements for review based on closely held multiple entities.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for financial reporting and tax.
• Financial reporting and analysis including ROI and ad hoc as necessary.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and policies and procedures.
• Projects as needed.

Qualification:

• Bachelors in Accounting required
• CPA
• At least 7 years of hands on accounting experience
• Real estate and/or investment accounting experience a big plus
• Advanced Excel skills required
