Entry Level Machine Operators- Weekend Nights

Direct Hire: Machine Operator (Entry Level) $4,000 hire-on-bonus Position Summary: A successful CNC Machinist/Machine Operator is a problem-solver, safety focused, and understands the importance of precision and quality. In order to become successful, you’ll have to learn about the company, our products, customers, and procedures; and work collaboratively with other CNC Machinists and cross-functional teams to ensure product is manufactured to quality and customer specifications Position Details:Hours: 5pm- 5am (Friday–Sunday) **work 36, get paid for 40 hoursTraining: 5am- 3:00pm (Monday-Friday) Pay:$22+ per hour Position Responsibilities: • Receives work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, and 1st piece and in-process check sheets from department supervision indicating the operations to be performed • Reads and interprets dimensions drawings, sketches, tool setup sheets and manufacturing instructions in performing required machining operation and setups • Uses operational drawings to determine required dimensions, travels, and tolerance to be maintained • Oversees and controls the operation of machining centers in the machining of forgings made from various types of super alloys with full support of the engineering and programming departments • Uses precision or standard measuring devices that are completely furnished by the company, such as scales inside and outside micrometers, dial indicators, Vernier scales, fixed frame gauges or special gauges, and profilometers to check machined dimensions and surface finishes conforming to customer prints and/or specifications • Loads and unloads pieces using an overhead hoist • Exercises care in handling of material before and after the machining operation Position Requirements: • High school diploma or GED • At least one year of manufacturing experience • Must successfully complete pre-employment evaluation • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • Strong knowledge of basic machining principles • Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a high performing team • Strong analytical skills to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and implement long-term solutions • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Position Perks: • Benefit eligibility on the 1st day of the month following the first day of employment • Up to 8% employer 401(k) contribution and match • 11 paid holidays per year • $4000 new hire bonus ABR Employment Services is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
