Position Summary

As an HR Generalist at Rekor, you will provide and implement all HR “People First” employee related programs, initiatives and policies while fostering an inclusive vibrant culture where people come to do their best work, grow their careers and have fun. The role will enable you to think outside the box and help build a culture that inspires, engages and creates a sense of belonging.

The Generalist Contribution

  • HR Generalist to support and implement the Rekor people focused HR strategy
  • Coach and guide both managers and employees regarding many HR programs, processes, and initiatives where employees feel valued and excited to take ownership in their work to deliver the right results for our customers.
  • Responsible to collaborate and drive scalable next gen HR initiatives and programs across the company to include employee relations, performance empowerment, create engaging employee learning and development curriculum, advocate advancing DE & I efforts, etc. and make a significant impact.
  • Design and implement new employee initiatives such as recognition program, identify enhancements for employee experience opportunities, and other global programs
  • Consult and coach for employee relations matters, provide guidance to managers on performance management to help navigate challenges, draft performance related documents and conduct internal investigations as appropriate.
  • Dive into the data! Use HR analytics to spark conversations, drive smart decisions, and keep refining our operational excellence taking care of our people.
  • Maintains knowledge of HR trends, best practices, state regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources
  • Reimagine and fine-tune HR policies to keep things fresh, flexible, and aligned with an agile, high-energy work environment.
  • Turn employee feedback into implementing action! Listen, learn, and launch new ideas that keep our culture vibrant, dynamic, and moving forward.

Ideal Profile

A highly energetic and customer focused individual who is knowledgeable about and/or interested in the transportation technology industry and business savvy to deliver state of the art cutting edge technology solutions for our customers. You’re looking for a progressive, entrepreneurial, fast paced, vibrant, flexible working environment where you can pursue your career interests and achieve your full potential. You bring to the organization the following competencies:

  • Exemplary passion for HR leveraging professional generalist experiences with the ability to create engaging, positive, high-impact HR in a fast-paced environment.
  • SHRM certification a plus. Prefer 5 yrs experience as HR professional including consultative experience with managers and employees.
  • BS degree in Human Resources or Business-related field preferred.
  • Self-confident, can do attitude, with strong sense of integrity building a workplace that is all about trust, collaboration and gets things done, understanding HR responsibility for confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proven strength in consultative approach, connector with stellar communication skills who thrives on working across culturally diverse teams and levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solver, with intellectual curiosity and bias for action looking for ways to make the organization better.
  • Comfortable with change and turning ambiguity into action in a dynamic work environment.
  • Solid program management skills – you know how to take ideas from concept to celebration,. end-to-end
  • Location: Howard County, Columbia MD, In person preferred with hybrid flexibility.
