REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST - LABELING - CARROLLTON, TX

Overview

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist - Labeling will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing labeling compliance programs to ensure that the company adheres to all regulatory requirements. This role involves monitoring and interpreting regulations and providing guidance to internal teams on compliance matters.

What You'll Do

• Evaluates product formulations and raw materials for regulatory compliance in accordance to FDA, USDA, state and local authorities.
• Develops ingredient statement, nutritional profiles, identifies allergens and substantiates claims.
• Reviews and approves labeling artwork, text, digital content, and claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinates labeling updates, revisions, and amendments in response to regulatory changes or product modifications.
• Creates, manages and maintains finished good specifications, labeling documentation, changes, and approvals in compliance with company procedures.
• Works closely with Innovation, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial teams to support labeling-related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manages and maintains internal databases, customer portals and submits for 3rd party claims certification.
• Serves as the subject matter expert by monitoring changes in regulations, consumer & market trends.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, nutrition, quality).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in CPG regulatory compliance, preferably in food manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of FDA, USDA, AMS, Child Nutrition industry regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in nutrition labeling and supplier management software such as Genesis and Tracegains and Oracle based programs.
