Facilities Spares Inventory Control Supervisor

What To Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Supervisor to lead our Gigafactory Nevada factory spare parts program. We are seeking a high performing leader to coach and direct the performance of a spares operations team. The role will lead a team of technicians who are responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels of the manufacturing spare parts warehouses and inventory control system.

What You'll Do

Drive for operations excellence: optimization of stocked MRO, value optimization (kitting, RMA, etc), warehouse optimization, 5S, etc.

Coaching and guiding the career development and talent pipeline for a team with diverse skills, experiences, and capabilities, and sustaining & growing that with sincere engagement

Coordinate with planning functions to provide world class service to factory operations

Manage escalation protocols

Supervise up to 10 Technicians across 4 shifts

All other activities as assigned

What You'll Bring

Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with metrics or KPIs

Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, summarization, etc

Exemplary people, organizational, project management, and escalation skills

Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines

Able to lift up to 50 lbs, qualification & capability to use powered industrial vehicles

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in STEM or relevant field, scale manufacturing experience, supply chain or purchasing experience, 2+ years maintenance or spare parts management experience
