Product Manager, Clinical Data Products

 

US Remote

Primary Purpose

 

Develops short and long-range plans for development of software products in accordance with market needs. Represents product stakeholders such as business development, project leaders/staff, and end users on cross-functional software product development team(s). Responsible for conducting market research and developing product requirements based on market and stakeholder feedback. Responsible for defining priorities within the team and reviewing completed product increments. Responsible for product release planning and marketing activities. Evangelizes software product within and outside Emmes. Responsible for assisting Emmes leaders with business development activities as these relate to the software product. Responsible for performing and/or coordinating secondary tasks related to product release such as communications, advertising, and development of training materials and/or user guides. Responsible for implementing strategic goals set by Software Development leaders as these relate to product requirements development, development planning, and feature prioritization. 

 

 

  • Define requirements for data driven software products supporting better analytics, monitoring, and reporting for clinical trials 

  • Prioritize requirements based on business value, return on investment, and department strategic goals. 

  • Develop acceptance criteria for product requirements. 

  • Define data sources and flows, working closely with data engineering team 

  • Plan product releases based on team velocity and business needs. 

  • Lead product demos to internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Participate in regular meetings such as planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. 

  • Provide clarification on requirements and acceptance criteria to development team. 

  • Evangelize product within and outside Emmes. 

  • Perform and/or coordinate secondary tasks such as communications, advertising, and development of training materials and/or user guides. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in public health, clinical, science, technology, or related discipline. 

  • Incumbent typically will possess at least 2 years of product management experience or 5 years of experience working as part of a software development or implementation team in any role.  

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 

  • Previous clinical research experience in the life science space preferred (preferably in Data Management, Clinical Operations, or Data & Analytics) 

  • AI & ML-based software development 

  • Experience with integration of large data sources/datasets 

  • Understanding of clinical trial data preferred 

  • Experience with end-to-end data manipulation (e.g. ingestion of large files, different data structures across various data sources, data transformation, etc.) 

  • Knowledge of key concepts related to software product management is required. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  • Self-motivated, proactive and detail oriented. 

  • Experience working in a Scrum team is preferred. 

  • CSPO and/or CSM certification is preferred. 

  • Experience with drawing tools and UX design is preferred. 

  • Experience working in clinical research or healthcare domain is preferred. 

  • Experience conducting software demos and marketing presentations is preferred. 

  • A degree in public health, science, or a computer-related field is preferred. 

  • Working knowledge of browser debugging tools is preferred.
