WHO WE ARE HIRING: TEST ENGINEER

What You Will Do

HHS Technology Group is hiring a TEST ENGINEER. You will have extensive experience with Selenium and Java (must be able to create and update scripts using Java) and have solid command of working with requirement elicitation methodologies.

State Government technical solution delivery experience HIGHLY DESIRED. Experience in State Government Health and Human Services, Medicaid, and Provider Enrollment or Provider Relations IDEAL.

Responsibilities

  • Seeing problems as challenges and opportunities, not roadblocks.
  • Implement new automated tests based on existing manual test cases and business requirements.
  • Propose and create shared libraries of test steps that can be integrated into cross-application test suites.
  • Assist in the development of new tools to speed the adoption of automated testing organization wide and maximize re-use and commonality across teams.
  • Partner with other teams to gain and provide support for automated regression testing practices.
  • Use Java, Shell Scripting, or another language as part of test automation.
  • Shorten application regression testing windows via automation.
  • Write automation tests to improve the test coverage.
  • At least three (3) years of experience performing data validation activities (writing SQL queries to validate data between source and target) between existing legacy systems and the new system being implemented.

Minimum Required Experience

  • 8+ years of overall experience in a Software Development Engineer/ Test Engineer.
  • Technical experience with all aspects of the software lifecycle including design, architecture, development, testing and reporting.
  • 4+ years in Automation testing responsibilities include E2E/integration, Sanity/regression, conversion, and production-validation testing.
  • 3+ years hands on experience building and maintaining API based testing tools (postman, SoapUI, REST-assured) for automated testing pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools as well as both white box and black box testing.
  • Experience in Agile Software Development Lifecycle (Scrum).
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence and JIRA Xray Test Module for logging defects, testing and reporting.
  • Integration Test Results with Test Management Tools like JIRA Xray, HP ALM , Zephyr Test Manager, Test rail etc.
  • Experience in Automated Performance and Load Testing, to include reporting.

Experience leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes, which must include:

  • Assessment of scope and tasks pertaining to technical testing.
  • Planning technical testing tasks.
  • Mapping of various business, user, and system requirements to test cases.
  • Leading and/or working within cross-functional teams that include business subject matter experts, application architects, developers, and testers.
  • Demonstrable experience in preparing test scenarios, test cases and documenting test results.
  • Demonstrable experience with sanity/ regression testing and adjusting test scenarios for periodic maintenance releases.

Education and Certification

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline is required.
