Overview

Build your career with IU Health!  We have an exciting opportunity available for a Improvement Leader to join the Operational Excellence team at our Muncie Location. Our region heavily supports operational excellence work focused on highly complex problems utilizing data to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control (DMAIC) methodology. We are a small mighty team that works closely with leaders to create structures, processes, and outcomes that support our teams.

The Improvement Leader partners with and develops leaders and team members to ensure on-time completion of improvement projects as well as delivers on expected results. Analyzes current conditions of processes utilizing data and lean management (based on Toyota Production and High Reliability Organization principles) capability with leaders and team members. Applies Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) thinking to achieve break through improvement in support of the business unit's strategic goals. Assists departments in best practice standardization and spread, utilizing lean and change management methodology.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years experience leading process improvement in a Lean enterprise or equivalent experience within IU Health.
  • Requires basic proficiency in MS Office.
