We are currently looking for a team player to fill the position of an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor at Barton Supply in Aurora, Colorado.

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor at Barton Supply will oversee the Quality Control (Guard Shack) and Receiving departments at our Aurora Barton location. This role is essential for ensuring that daily operations in both departments meet the operational standards set by Barton Supply. In addition, the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will provide support to the warehouse department as needed.

Responsibilities include

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for both Quality Control and Shipping/Receiving departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure quality control standards are maintained across both departments.
  • Lead, mentor and develop team members from assigned departments.
  • Monitor & report quality issues and open order issues to each respective department.
  • Support all departments on product, order or shipping/receiving inquiries.
  • Manage inventory rotation, location and levels.
  • Maintain strong cross-department communication.
  • Help drive all company directives and goals.


Qualifications include

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in the construction supply or manufacturing industry.


Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all departments and customers.


Reasoning Ability

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex issues.
  • Ability to manage inventory & staff.


Other Skills/Abilities/Specifications

  • Proficiency in product management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
