Bioprocessing Research Associate - Entry to Mid-Level (Cell Culture & Fermentation Focus)

Position Pre-requisites

An entry-level candidate will generally be designated as Research Associate I (RAI) and may have no industrial experience. Candidates should have a minimum of four years of academia associated with attaining a B.S. degree. Research Associate II (RAII) will require a B.S. and a minimum of two years of industry experience. Research Associate III (RAIII) designation will require a B.S. and a minimum of three years of industry experience.

Position Duties

In this role, you will execute experiments designed by your supervisor, initially with their direction and then independently once experimental techniques are mastered.

You Will Actively Participate In Project Progress By

• Conducting experiments.
• Troubleshooting experiments.
• Understanding project goals and experimental questions.
• Proposing improvements or novel experiments/techniques.
  
  

Additionally, You Will

• Participate under the direction of lead scientists and the CSO in operations involving complex systems and equipment.
• Assist in bioprocessing and manufacturing in accordance with defined goals.
• Interact with your supervisor at least daily and ask questions as necessary to clarify instructions.
• Keep detailed records of experiments in a lab notebook according to company guidelines.
• Present data and findings to your supervisor and company personnel.
• Follow safety guidelines and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

• Adhering to quality standards set by regulations and ServareGMP’s policies, procedures, and mission.
• Communicating effectively with Lead Scientists, Executive Director, CSO, colleagues, and subordinates.
• Participating in leadership and management development activities.
• Traveling as needed for career development, technical training, evaluation/integration of new technologies, and support tech transfer for client projects.
